SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Adam Gray (D-Merced), Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Rail, will be holding a public hearing on August 30th, 2017. The focus of this hearing will be on the improvement programs for Intercity Passenger Rail and Commuter Rail services throughout California, and state funding for these programs. The hearing will be at 2:30 PM in room 4202 at the State Capitol (1315 10th St, Sacramento, CA 95814).
Chairman Gray has invited members of the former Senate Select Subcommittee on Passenger Rail as well as other legislators whose districts are served by these rail systems to participate in the hearing. The purpose of the public hearing is to highlight the improvement programs envisioned for these passenger rail systems, and to discuss increasing the potential funding needed to improve and expand these services.

Additional presentations from the existing Intercity Passenger Rail services (Pacific Surfliner, Capitol Corridor, and San Joaquins) and the emerging intercity corridors, as well as the existing commuter rail services (Metrolink, Coaster/Sprinter, Caltrain, SMART, and ACE).
