Milliken Museum Society in partnership with the

Los Banos Arts Council and the Grassland Fund present:

Tule Elk, Waterfowl, and Grizzlies. . .Oh My!

When: Thursday, March 22, 2018, 5:30-7:30 pm;

Where: Ted Falasco Art Center

5:30 pm:               “Wine & hors d’oeuvres” reception;

6:15 pm:               Speakers include:

Phil Garone, PhD, Professor at Stanislaus State, Author of “The Fall and Rise of the Wetlands of the Great Central Valley”

Phil will cover what wildlife used to be like prior to the European Immigrants, what happened to the wildlife and what is being done, and by whom to preserve the local wildlife.

Charles Galatro, Local historian and storyteller;

Charles will cover the early market hunting days including some of the colorful local characters involved, the market hunting culture and the influence of market hunting on the region.

 

Suggested $10 donation at the door (students free!).
