Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), representatives from the California Trucking Association and the Clovis Elks Club will come together at the Chowchilla River Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility on October 23rd for Truck Driver Appreciation Day. Truck Driver Appreciation Day provides an opportunity to thank a fraction of the 3.4 million members of the trucking community for the hard work and dedication that they give on a daily basis. Truck drivers entering the scales during this event can park, visit with personnel from the CHP and other agencies all while enjoying a free lunch or taking one to go (approximately 450).
