I just received the latest edition of The Paper and realized how grateful I am to have subscribed to it.
It’s great to see news about special events in Los Banos, to see pictures of friends and articles that reintroduce me to people I’ve known or simply heard about through other friends.
It’s even comforting to read the Obituary page and see their sweet faces. Recently my daughter and son-in-law had been on vacation and brought me an issue of the Toledo Blade. They now have an entire section of the paper devoted to the regular issues of their paper—large pictures and loving depictions of the deceased.
Getting to my age (I’ve outlived anyone in my family as far back as I’ve been able to trace), I appreciate how The Paper stays focused on Los Banos.
I also appreciated the banner above the only locally owned newspaper in Los Banos, Dutra’s The Paper. If I can make it, I’ll be at Me ‘n Ed’s Pizza on Tuesday, November 6th to greet Mayor Villalta!
