On December 31, 2018, at approximately 0209 hours, the Fresno Communications Center received a call of a solo vehicle traffic collision with a possible fatality on American Avenue west of Golden State Boulevard.
Mr. Sebastian was driving 2015 Chrysler westbound on American Avenue approaching Golden State Boulevard at a high rate of speed. Mr. Sebastian failed to stop or slow for the posted stop sign at Golden State Boulevard. The Chrysler careened across the northbound and southbound lanes of Golden State Boulevard and eventually overturned on American Avenue west of Golden State Boulevard. The Chrysler’s right front passenger succumbed to her injuries on scene. Mr. Sebastian sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center.
During the course of the investigation it was determined alcohol was a contributing factor in this collision, however the collision is still under investigation.
