Los Banos Police Department Investigating Stabbing 04/26/2019

On April 26th, at 7:41 am, LBPD patrol officers responded to a reported stabbing near the intersection of 7th and H Street. Officers arrived to find a 50 year old male suffering from a single stab wound to his lower back. He was flown to a Modesto area hospital where he is listed in stable condition; he is expected to recover from his injuries. Witnesses reported the other individual involved in the incident had left the scene in a vehicle. Moments later the second individual, a 33 year old male, arrived at the Police Department to report the incident. This incident is not believed to be gang related. No arrests have been made, however, LBPD Detectives have taken over and will continue the investigation and ask that anyone with information regarding the incident contact Detective Sergeant Justin Melden at 827 7070 ext. 2509.
