On Saturday March 30 the Fil Am Club of Los Banos held their 7th annual Easter Egg hunt for the Fil Am member’s children at a local park. Before the egg hunt there was a delicious picnic, potluck lunch with all of the traditional Filipino foods that are served at the holidays. Two of the main ingredients in their meals are pork and rice. It is a staple food in their diet along with fish. I noticed that they also have a universally favorite food, that would be pizza. One especially tasty dessert is a crispy, banana, brittle that is wrapped in a lumpia wrapper. After lunch each child formed a long line with the younger children guided by their parents, a whistle was blown and the exuberant children ran to find all the brightly colored, plastic eggs they could.
