Regarding Hit and Run Accident
First of all, when did the laws in this country stop placing blame on the person who caused the accident itself? My son Jesse Fuentes, yes made a bad decision through panic and did not stop at the scene of the accident. The results of Fernando Jr’s death would still be the same whether Jesse stopped or didn’t stop.
Jesse will have to deal with this decision and maybe through counseling he can come to terms with the things he cannot undo. I feel Jesse’s bad decision requires some type of punishment but not prison. Prison is for violent criminals that are a danger to society. Jesse is not a bad person he just simply made a bad decision. My son is not the cause of Fernando Jr’s death. Fernando Jr’s death resulted from no safety helmet which caused head trauma, no lights on the scooter and not stopping at the stop sign.
