Modesto Police Department reports SWAT and CIT were activated to contact with a suspect who had barricaded himself in a residence in the 1100 Block of Cannes Av. A man and a woman were shot in the residence during an earlier altercation. Both victims are being treated at local hospitals. The male victim is in stable condition. The female victim is in serious condition.
After SWAT and CIT units responded to the scene, Officers were able to locate the suspect inside the home where he was found deceased from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound.
The Modesto Police Department has announced they will be updating the public with additional information later today with a press release.
