Los Banos, CA – Preparations began months ago to coordinate attendees, participants, State Representatives, and children from every elementary school in town to be present for the 26th celebration of Arbor Day. Cliff Brand and his Jazz Ensemble provided lively music as the crowd gathered around. The Director of Ceremonies, Mayor Mike Villalta called on members of the VFW Post 2487 and American Legion Post 166 to present the Colors and begin our annual event. State and local representatives each spoke briefly to congratulate our city for its continued efforts in maintaining our trees.
