“Happy Anniversary”

It was only last week that Frank and Helen Gallichio celebrated a very special day in their life, that of their 65th wedding anniversary. On Thursday evening, September 25th, they were honored with an anniversary dinner held at Espana’s and given by their family. I was glad to be asked to write about this couple for they have been so much a huge part of this community in a positive way.
Helen and Frank began dating on New Year’s Eve of 1948. They were engaged in the spring of 1949, and married on September 25, 1949 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (then located at the 5th and & K Street location). They renewed their own marriage vows when they celebrated their 50th anniversary with Monsignor Wayne Hayes officiating at that ceremony. For full article, please purchase a copy of The Paper.
